Vail Village Trick or Treat Trot

Get ready for Halloween fun! The Vail Recreation District will host the 25th Annual Trick or Treat Trot on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. The Trick or Treat Trot is a great opportunity for young kids (infants up to 10-year-olds, plus their families) to trick-or-treat through the streets of Vail from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Starting at welcome booths in both Vail Village and Lionshead, costumed trick-or-treaters will be greeted and given free balloons. They will then be pointed in the direction of participating merchants, who will display oversized jack-o-lantern bags at their entrances. This popular event takes place rain, snow or shine.
A limited number of Trick or Treat Trot bags will be available at the Covered Bridge in Vail Village and by the archway in Lionshead on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own reusable bags.
Before trick-or-treating, join us from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for spooky stories and tall tales at the Vail Public Library’s Halloween Story Hour.

The Vail Rec District is also hosting a Halloween coloring contest. Download the Coloring Contest information page and coloring sheet and get your kiddos started on creating their Halloween-inspired drawing.
The Trick or Treat Trot is organized by the VRD Community Programming Department and is sponsored by the Vail Daily and Pazzo’s Pizzeria. For more information, call 970-479-2292.
New this year, the VRD will be partnering with the Town of Vail on a Treats for Troops program. Drop off your leftover candy in November and it will be donated to soldiers and veterans!
